The Government of the Republic of Malawi through the Ministry of Education has received offers of undergraduate scholarships for the 2024 academic year from the Government of the Republic of Mauritius through the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology.

Requirements

Applicants must;

1. Be Malawian citizens with at least six credits including English at MSCE or its equivalent.
2. Be above 18 years of age and will not have reached their 26th birthday by 1 January 2025 and must attach a copy of a birth certificate.
3. Present a copy of the biodata page of passport, if available.
4. Present a copy of the Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent.
5. Present a medical certificate filled and signed by a registered medical practitioner
6. Present a copy of the conditional offer by a public higher education institution in Mauritius OR a copy of acknowledgement notice from the higher education institution.

The scholarship will be for a maximum duration of four (4) years. Relevant documents are available for download from the following website https://education.govmu.org/Pages/Mauritius-Africa-Scholarship-Scheme-(MASS)-2024.aspx.

Application process

• Applicants are invited to fill in the form electronically before printing
• Scholarship applications can only be made on the application form duly filled in.
• Application must be submitted through the Ministry of Education in Malawi for processing
• Please note that Section 5 of the application form will be completed by the Ministry of Education in Malawi.
• Applications and all supporting documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Private Bag 328, Lilongwe 3, Malawi clearly marked “Application for the Mauritian Scholarship” and all electronic copies to This email address is being protected from spambots.
