By Mphatso Nkuonera, PRO

The people of Rumphi West Constituency have expressed their gratitude to First Lady Madame Monica Chakwera for her efforts in ensuring that children in the area have easier access to education.
During the handover ceremony for Jalira Girls Secondary School on Monday, Themba la Mathemba Chikulamayembe and Rumphi West Member of Parliament Yona Adadawiza Mkandawire jointly commended Madame Chakwera.
"We are very grateful for this excellent project, a beautiful and distinct institution in our area. The government has always supported us. Please convey our heartfelt thanks from the constituents of this area," Mkandawire stated.
Minister of Education Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima advised the students and the community to take good care of the infrastructure.
"This school, as it stands here, serves as great encouragement to both the ministry and the people of this community, as well as the country at large. It will significantly enhance access to secondary education, aligning with the pillars of MW 2063, where skilled labor is part of human capital development, enabler number 5," Wirima said.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Education Nancy Chaola Mdooko, Secretary for Education Associate Professor Mangani Chilala Katundu, Deputy Director for Secondary Education Samuel Chibwana, Education Division Manager for the North Jennings Kayira, and other senior officials *.#EducationIsKey*
