The guiding theme of the 2023 JSR, "Transforming Education: Investing in Foundational Learning and Skills Development for a Wealthy, Self-Reliant, and Resilient Nation," lends greater relevance to the JSR. This theme emphasizes how important it is to support the foundational learning that forms the basis of education while also fostering the advancement of industry relevant skills. The MW2063 vision's aim for a self-sufficient and wealthy Malawi is reflected in these two pillars, which are part of the basis for transformative education.
