• Providing e-services and ICT infrastructure management.

• Enforcement of ICT standards and guidelines.

• Providing ICT education and training services.

• Provide ICT support services to all Directorate/Departments

The Directorate is here to support mainstreaming of ICTs in Education

The Department is working on a number of initiatives -

1. Connect a School project with support from Department of eGovernment, UNICEF, Airtel, MACRA, World Bank, Giga

2. Implementation of systems developed under EQUALs and Save Projects: (EMIS, HEMIS, TMIS, SIIS, SIWs, eSelection)

3. Management of different data collection tools eg PEAs dashboard

4. Development of the ICT in Education Policy

5. Support to the BEFIT Programme

6. Providing technical support to all directorates
