Minister of Education, Science and Technology Honourable Bright Msaka, SC, has hailed the smooth administration of the 2026 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.

Msaka said this on Friday in Lilongwe at Bwaila Secondary School where he monitored the final day of the MSCE examinations, where candidates sat for practical subjects, marking the end of this year’s examination cycle.

The minister said the examinations, which started on June 29, had gone extremely well, just like all other examinations that were administered this year.

He said MSCE examinations have usually been the ones that present challenges, but this year’s examinations had gone extremely well. He added that he was delighted and satisfied that the country had delivered credible examinations.

One of the students who sat for the examinations at Bwaila Secondary School Levison Itiyezi said he was also satisfied with how the examinations had been administered citing that throughout the examination period, there was peace and order, which helped him to concentrate.

The 2026 MSCE examinations officially concluded on Friday, July 24, with candidates completing practical examinations in technical and vocational subjects across the country.
